List of Changes Since Version 0.90ß
-----------------------------------
Version 2.00
------------
- Area headers and footers for new files list will no longer be displayed for
areas where there are no files.
- ANSI color codes can now be inserted in file database headers using %knn
token, where nn is the color code similar to that used by RemoteAccess 2.x.
- Cosmetic changes.
- Improved error reporting for disk operations in ZENLIST.EXE.
- Added a command line switch to strip file database headers inserted by
ZenList.
- Improved command line switches. /H switch will display command summary.
- Included ZENSETUP.EXE, an easy-to-use set-up program. Farewell to the ASCII
ZENLIST.CFG. SETUP.ZEN is now a binary file.
- ZENLIST now keeps its own area definitions in AREAS.ZEN. These areas
definitions can be easily imported from FILES.RA through ZENSETUP.EXE.
- Previously, only one new files list and one all files list can be defined
in a single configuration. Now, SETUP.ZEN holds up to eight. Any of these
can be set as "On Request Only" so that the lists will not be generated
unless a /R switch is specified on the command line. Alternate template
files can be specified for each list set-up if different from the default.
- Improved support for CD rom areas. These areas will be skipped during
maintenance operations unless the /D switch is specified.
- Minor file database maintenance facility added. This includes support for
file descriptions reformatting. Now, ZENLIST can optionally strip excess
spaces and CR/LF/Hyphenation from file descriptions.
- Added support for exporting multi-line FILES.BBS with optional download
counters and user-definable FILE_ID.DIZ indent column.
- Enabled different sorting orders for each individual area.
- fixed a bug which caused some systems running under QEMM to lock up when
ZENLIST exits.
- the '%bb' token used in the file database header template was in fact a
fixed-lengthed token. It should have been variable-lengthed. Fixed.
Version 1.03 (Bug fixes)
------------------------
- Changes have been made to the sorting algorithm. The run-time error 202
experienced by some systems when sorting file areas with many comment lines
has been fixed.
Version 1.02 (Minor Release)
----------------------------
- Implemented full support for RemoteAccess 65535 file areas.
- Reduced memory usage.
- ZenList did not perform 'sortby size descending' correctly. fixed.
Version 1.01 (Minor Release)
----------------------------
- Minor changes to sorting by name. Now, sorting by Name and NameAscii are
both supported.
Version 1.00 (First Public Non-beta release)
--------------------------------------------
- Fixed a bug that messed up empty comment lines and empty description
fields.
Version 1.00 gamma
------------------
- Fixed a bug that caused a run-time error when area description exceeded 30
characters. ZenList can now correctly process descriptions of up to 40
characters, the limit set in RemoteAccess 2.00.
- On certain occasions, ZenList will lock up attempting to sort an area with
0 files. *fixed* (ZenList will no longer sort such areas).
- added %sn and %st tokens in file list format templating to display certain
file attributes (Free, NotAvail, Missing).
- The download counter brackets will be omitted when using file list format
templating. This enables users to define their own.
- Added AreasToSort parameter which allows users to define the file areas
that will be sorted.
- ZenList will now display the 'NotAvail' attribute in ShowFileStatus.
- When area header templates are not given, ZenList will now add a hard-coded
header line.
- Increased the upper limit for areas that will be processed by ZenList from
200 to 400.
- Headers generated by ZenList cannot be correctly interpreted by RAFILE
EXPORT. *fixed* (The new method of storing headers now makes headers
occupy a little more disk space) ):
- minor cosmetic changes.
Version 0.95 beta 1
-------------------
- ZenList does not total up number of files and file sizes correctly. *fixed*
Version 0.95 beta
-----------------
- Added support for wild cards expansion
- Added sorting algorithm to sort the file list. 6 different sort orders are
supported.
- ZenList can now generate new files list. Separate list header/footer and
area header/footer can be specified. File list format templating is also
supported in generating new files list.
Version 0.90 beta 1
-------------------
- added command line parameter -c for path and name of alternative
configuration file. ZenList will look for all template files in the
same directory as the configuration file specified with the -c
parameter.
- Under certain circumstances, ZenList will fail to remove the last CR
from the file description causing an unnecessary blank line to be
inserted. *fixed*
